Pocket Backyard Concept

This project reimagines a compact backyard and deck as a layered outdoor living experience where leisure, recreation, and relaxation coexist. The layout creates distinct yet connected zones: a stargazing deck with dining and grill, a hammock lounge with fire-pit seating, a mini-putt corner with bar counter, and a poolside area that transforms into an open-air movie and unwind space. Each zone is intentionally scaled to feel intimate while supporting multiple activities through the day.

Material selection, furniture planning, lighting, and circulation were thoughtfully integrated to make the space both highly functional and emotionally engaging. Instead of being treated as leftover exterior space, the backyard becomes an extension of everyday living.

The result is a micro-resort within a modest footprint, designed to encourage gathering, solitude, play, and rest in equal measure.
