Public Rescue Centre- Thesis

Project style

Minimalistic

The public shelters are often adapted in existing community buildings such as schools, community centers, churches, temples, and mosques.
And such spaces are then upgraded to cater better sheltering and recovering facilities. Shelters should thus be designed or adapted to the specific hazard, threats, the local geography and the needs of those who use them, as well as the length of time they are
likely to be occupied. Even though a few disaster prone areas have been provided with proper structures that provide shelter and recovery facilities, they are either constructed post the disaster or start off as camps and sheds that are temporary in nature and then evaluate to permanent ones over time.
These spaces cater to only to the people who are able to save their lives, and lack of proper medical care has always been an issue of concern.
